WHAT WILL WE BE DOING: BOUNCE Student Disaster Recovery offers students the opportunity to assist communities in their efforts to BOUNCE back from devastation after a disaster has struck. Participants engage in disaster recovery projects, times of worship and reflection designed to help them encounter and respond to God. We will be working in and around the Rockport area that was devastated by Hurricane Harvey. We will get to Corpus a couple of days early and students will have a time at the beach before we begin the week.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO REGISTER: You will need to fill out the Pre-Mission Trip Form below. This is not the official form. The official form can be downloaded below. Each participant will need the following forms filled out and signed: Bounce Registration Form (must be notarized), Aransas County Volunteer Form, SOBC Transportation/Medical Form (if you have not done so already). The links for these forms are available below. We will have a Notary available at our June 24 meeting.
MANDATORY TRAINING: There are 3 training sessions that we will require for this trip. You must come to 2 of the 3 sessions. All of these training sessions are on Sunday evenings from 6:15-7:30 and meet in the gym. The dates are June 10, June 24, July 1.
