We are so glad you are considering visiting with us and want your visit at South Oaks Baptist Church to be special. We have a Guest Information Center inside the foyer of our Worship Center to assist you when you arrive. Until then, read on below to learn a little more about what you can expect when you visit.

What to Expect

Sunday mornings we gather for life groups. It’s a time to connect in small settings that foster growth and accountability. We learn, we pray and we do life together. Life groups meet from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. You can find a list of current life groups here.

South Oaks also offers bible studies throughout the week. Come to dig deeper into what it is to live life as a Christ follower.

We have a nursery prepared with screened and trained workers to care for you baby and/or toddler from the start of morning life groups through the worship service. Preschoolers, children and youth meet in groups designed for their age and development during Sunday morning life group time. Extended care, childcare through the worship service time, is available for children through three years old. If you have a four year old who is not quite ready to attend worship with you, please discuss this with the Minister to Preschool Families to determine a plan for your child.

Some of our members come “dressed in their Sunday best” while most keep it a little more casual in jeans.

Sunday morning worship includes contemporary blended praise music led by a praise team, choir, and small band of talented musicians.

Service Length

Our Sunday morning services usually last just over an hour, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. If you choose to join us, and we hope you will, life groups meet prior to the service and also last just over an hour, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

We believe that giving is the responsibility of the church body. As a guest, you are welcome to give, but we do not expect or ask that you do.
